Sundays

We hold two Sunday services each week. You’re invited whether you are a person with a faith background or not. Our services last about 90 minutes & are aimed at helping modern people in New York City meet with God without a lot of the religious trappings that can often keep people away.

  • 11am service is held on the 3rd floor of a public school. It has a “family” feel with kids church going on during the main service, but single folks are certainly welcome & usually make up at least half of the congregation. We serve coffee, bagels & fruit and the music is usually rock with a gospel or acoustic feel. DISCLAIMER: None of the administration, staff or PTA of the red brick building located on Manhattan Ave & Conselyea St, or the New York City Board of Education are affiliated with the North Brooklyn Vineyard Church or sponsor our meetings or activities or endorse our beliefs.
  • 6pm service is held the Trash Bar at 256 Grand St. We have a unique relationship with the bar where they have welcomed us in & we’ve become part of the fabric of that vibrant cultural scene. The bar is open before, during & after the service. The sermon is that same as the morning and music usually a bit more rock n roll.

In our services we worship with songs that help us express our gratitude toward God, a sermon that we hope is helpful for living out faith in regular life, time to pray & communion. People generally hangout afterward.

We know coming to a new church can be a daunting thought, so we try to make it easy for visitors or those curious to check it out.
