This advisory team is responsible for overall leadership & pastoral care of our community. Many people lead ministries, initiatives & small groups in our church community.
Mike & Char Turrigiano
Mike is the senior Pastor of the North Brooklyn Vineyard. Mike has been married to Char for more than three decades. They have two married sons, and five grand children. They have been pastoring in New York City since the 70’s.
Mike was born and raised in NYC and is a graduate of the Teen Challenge program. He received his bachelor degree in Psychology and Biblical Studies from Evangel University. Char is from south Jersey. They both served in Teen Challenge before they met John Wimber, the founder of the Vineyard in 1980. They are pioneers of the Vineyard movement here on the East Coast. Mike currently serves on the Vineyard Eastern Region leadership team.
Mike and his wife Char are seasoned veterans of urban ministry. They share a deep passionate love for the Lord, New York City, church planting, and raising-up and releasing young leaders into urban ministry. Mike is above all dedicated to seeing that the kingdom ministry of the Holy Spirit, the hallmark of Vineyard, is trumpeted and remains on the front burner of our church culture.
Ryan Wobbrock regularly teaches at our Sunday services and contributes overall vision and leadership for the North Brooklyn Vineyard. Ryan moved to New York from Colorado in September of 2003, after graduating from Colorado State University. He’s a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute (VLI).
Ryan currently works as an analyst on Wall Street, but most of his life is spent hanging out with long-time friends, listening to boy bands (you know you like them too) and living in a perpetual state of disbelief at how the Minnesota Vikings can cause such immense heartache.
Rebecca Wulf oversees outward focused initiatives & events for the North Brooklyn Vineyard. She also provides strategic vision & pastoral support to the Advisory Team.
David & Elizabeth Chang are responsible for operations, specifically at our morning gatherings. They have been members of the Vineyard in NYC for over a decade.
The Changs met during their undergraduate years at Florida State University and, prior to moving to New York, were active members in both the (then-newly-started) Tallahassee Vineyard and the Jacksonville Vineyard churches. They moved to New York in 1996 to pursue advanced degrees in business and law. David currently manages an I.T. department in midtown Manhattan and Elizabeth practices law at a Wall Street firm.
Jason & Karen Dickerson oversee worship & arts for the NBV. They bring years of theater, visual & performed art & worship perspective to our community. By day Jason creates videos & films for a large non-profit in Manhattan. Karen works in communication for a different organization.
Jason hails from Rochester & Karen grew up across the globe, from New Zealand to Ireland & Ohio.
