The North Brooklyn Vineyard was planted in 2006 to start a new church that would help people outside the traditional church connect with God.
After sixteen years of pastoring a Vineyard church in New York City (Upper West Side) & helping churches “outside the box” in the US & Europe, Mike and Char Turrigiano felt a call from God and migrated into Williamsburg to begin holding services at the Trash Bar along with a group from the Manhattan church.
At the same time they began meeting with young families living in Brooklyn and in January of 2007 started morning services at a public school in Williamsburg. With this the North Brooklyn Vineyard was born, joining the Eastern Region of Vineyard Churches in America.
We’re now a multi-generational (ages 0-80s), diverse community of people from various backgrounds and professions (some full of faith & some unsure) on a journey together to live out faith in Jesus with all it’s implications.
We have spent the last years developing community, helping people connect with God, helping people find the leadership skills within them & seeing God reconcile people to himself.
Our journey has just begun and we’re looking forward to the next years!
